Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains in Big Spring, TX seeks part-time chaplains to serve employees and their families. The role involves ministry visits, confidential spiritual counsel, and coordination of resources across client sites, in a remote-capable field environment.

Responsibilities include weekly site visits, counseling on personal and family issues, funeral planning support, and collaboration with company leadership within the signed agreement.

• Has ability to work as member of interdisciplinary group and in an interfaith setting.
• Skills to effectively listen and interact with clients, employees, and their families.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and to MCHAPs Ministry values.
• Demonstrated ability to interact diplomatically with diverse groups and provide exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to interpret policy.

Responsibilities

• Makes regular visits to company worksites (usually weekly) to interact with employees and build relationships of trust and friendship.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions for issues affecting employees and immediate family members.
• Provides referral services and coordinates specialized assistance for employees and families.
• May assist in planning, conducting or attending funerals for employees or immediate family members.
• Responds positively to other duties requested by executive leadership within the Letter of Agreement scope.
