Candidates must hold an active North Carolina Bar license, possess a JD, and have 2–4+ years of workers’ compensation experience.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Bar in good standing.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• 2–4+ years of legal practice, workers’ compensation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and defend an active caseload of North Carolina workers’ compensation matters for employers, insurers, and related clients.
• Develop case strategy with experienced attorneys and provide practical recommendations to clients.
• Handle all phases of litigation including discovery, motions, hearings, mediations, depositions, and case preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, legal correspondence, settlement documents, and filings.
• Conduct legal research and analyze claims, medical records, exposure, and related issues.
• Communicate with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders regarding case status and next steps.
• Maintain accurate case records, reporting, billing, and deadlines while pursuing timely resolutions.
