Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Associate Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation in Raleigh, NC. You will represent clients from initial consultation through resolution, conduct in-depth case research, and draft pleadings and motions while negotiating settlements and presenting at hearings.

Must have a JD, NC Bar, and 2+ years WC insurance defense experience. The role offers hybrid and remote flexibility with a supportive team, mentorship, and strong career growth potential within a midsize NC law

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of workers' compensation law experience, focusing on insurance defense.
• Exceptional knowledge of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
• Proven ability to manage a large caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all aspects of workers' compensation cases from initial consultation to final resolution.
• Conduct thorough case research and investigation, gather evidence, and develop strong legal strategies.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve cases efficiently and favorably.
• Present cases at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials with strong advocacy.
• Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and trends related to workers' compensation and insurance defense.
• Collaborate with team members, paralegals, and staff to ensure high-quality client service.
