Qualifications

• Active, in good standing California State Bar license to practice.
• At least 1 year defending workers' comp claims in California.
• Strong knowledge of California WCAB procedures and caseload management.

Responsibilities

• Handle a full caseload of workers' compensation defense matters from filing through resolution.
• Represent employers, insurers, self-insured entities, and TPAs in all phases of litigation.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear before the WCAB for MSCs, lien conferences, hearings, and trials.
• Shape case strategy and advise clients on practical next steps.
• Negotiate and close out settlements efficiently.
• Keep clients in the loop with responsive communication.
• Work closely with fellow attorneys and support staff to deliver strong outcomes.
