Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation law (insurance defense).
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
• Ability to manage a large caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all aspects of workers' compensation cases from intake to resolution.
• Conduct thorough case research and investigation, gather evidence, and develop legal strategies.
• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve cases efficiently.
• Present cases at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials with strong advocacy.
• Stay updated on laws, regulations, and trends related to workers' compensation.
• Collaborate with team members, paralegals, and staff to ensure high-quality client service.
