Jobot is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Defense Associate Attorney in a hybrid role across multiple Southeast locations, including Charlotte, NC. Base compensation ranges from $100,000 to $165,000 with an 1,800‑hour billable requirement. The firm focuses on insurance defense and offers strong mentorship and long‑term development.

The position requires a J.D. from an accredited law school, active state bar admission, and preferred workers’ compensation or insurance‑defense experience.

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• Active bar in the applicable state.
• Prior workers’ compensation or insurance-defense experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers, insurers, and third‑party administrators in workers’ compensation matters.
• Manage claims from initial referral through resolution.
• Conduct depositions.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Review medical records and evaluate causation and damages.
• Develop case strategy and provide recommendations to clients.
• Communicate regularly with carriers, employers, and insured clients.
• Negotiate settlements and assist with trial/hearing preparation.
