Job summary

Cipriani & Werner P.C. is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Associate to join our NY Workers’ Compensation Group. This remote role requires an active MA and NY license and at least 1 year of MA workers’ compensation experience. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting pleadings, and representing clients in hearings, with collaboration across senior attorneys.

Qualifications

• JD required from ABA-approved law school.
• Active license in good standing in Massachusetts and New York.
• 1 year of Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
• Maintain billable hours as necessary.
• Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision.
• Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trial when and where necessary.
