Job summary
Michael Sullivan & Associates LLP, a multi-state law firm with a national presence, seeks a full-time Legal Assistant with Workers' Compensation experience to support attorneys and the Office Supervisor in a remote-first environment.
The role emphasizes confidentiality, strong written and verbal communication, and meticulous organization as you prepare legal documents, schedule medical appointments, and manage files while benefiting from comprehensive health, retirement, and other voluntary
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Workers' Compensation experience.
- ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate OR Bachelor's Degree required.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in MS Word and typing 50 wpm.
- Maintains confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Provides administrative and clerical support to one or more attorneys and the Office Supervisor.
- Prepares simple to moderately complex legal documents.
- Schedules medical appointments.
- Proofreads documents for spelling and grammar.
- Organizes and maintains files.
- Screens telephone calls and visitors.
- Reads and responds to mail.
