SR Staffing is assisting a well-established workers' compensation defense law firm in California to recruit a Workers' Compensation Attorney for a hybrid role with remote flexibility and some in-person requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Juris Doctor and active California State Bar, with experience in workers' compensation litigation, discovery, and settlements. Strong research, negotiation, and client-service skills are essential, with occasional travel for hearings.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar
• Experience handling workers' compensation matters preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle workers' compensation defense matters from initial assignment through final resolution
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Manage all aspects of discovery and litigation strategy
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputed claims
• Maintain regular communication with insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators
• Provide proactive case management and strategic legal guidance to clients
