Job summary

A well-established California defense firm is looking for an experienced Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to join its statewide team. This role offers flexibility for remote or in-office work and provides strong growth potential. Responsibilities include representing clients in workers’ compensation matters, conducting legal research, and managing caseloads independently. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor, active membership in the California State Bar, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• 2+ years of workers’ compensation defense experience required.
• Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare settlement documents.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as required.
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues to advise clients effectively.
• Negotiate and resolve claims in a client-centered, efficient manner.
• Manage caseload independently while collaborating with attorneys and legal assistants.
• Maintain detailed communication and reporting with clients and colleagues.
