Job summary

CorVel is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Specialist for a remote US role. The position handles lower-level, non-complex claims under supervision, focusing on accuracy, timely communication, and adherence to client and carrier guidelines.

Experience in claims management and a current WC license are preferred. You will support the claims department with routine tasks, collaborate with team members, and participate in ongoing process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of claims management experience preferred.
• Current license/certification in Workers' Compensation required.

Responsibilities

• Receives Workers Compensation claims and confirms policy coverage.
• Determines validity and compensability of claims.
• Establishes reserves and authorizes payments within limits.
• Manages non-complex lost-time claims under supervision.
• Communicates claim status with customers, claimants and clients.
• Adheres to guidelines and participates in reviews.
• Assists more complex claims as needed.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
