Job summary

AMERISAFE, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented professional for our Florida-based Workers' Compensation Claims Team.

You will conduct on-site investigations, determine compensability, establish reserves, document decisions, and issue payments while coordinating with injured workers, employers, medical and legal professionals to ensure correct benefits under applicable laws. This remote position offers a salary of $50,000 to $95,000, with benefits such as cell phone/internet reimbursement and auto

Qualifications

• Worker's compensation claims experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or related professional business experience acceptable.
• State license to handle Workers' Compensation claims if required.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• World class customer service attitude.
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software and Microsoft Office.
• The ability to be self-directed.
• Frequent travel within a designated territory required, but rarely overnight travel.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to this location.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and in-person investigations.
• Determine compensability and establish reserves.
• Document decision making and issue benefit payments.
• Notify the State administrative authority as required.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and legal professionals to ensure appropriate benefits.
