Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster for the Southeast team. This remote, full-time role manages a caseload of moderately complex casualty claims from intake through resolution, performing investigations, liability assessments, and settlements within authority.

You will collaborate with underwriting, legal, and stakeholders to ensure thorough claim evaluation and maintain detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or combination of education and experience.
• 1–4 years of relevant claims handling experience.
• Ability to independently analyze indemnification and manage indemnity, medical, and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of moderately complex casualty claims from intake through resolution.
• Conduct investigations, assess liability, and evaluate damages.
• Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and stakeholders to evaluate claims.
• Identify potentially suspicious claims and refer to Special Investigations Unit.
• Set reserves, authorize payments, and communicate with claimants and attorneys.
• Mentor entry‑level claim handlers and participate in training.
