Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Workday Technical Consultant for a 100% Remote (U.S.) role. You will handle Workday configuration, reports, calculations, business processes, and extensions to maximize value for HR, finance, and IT stakeholders.

The position requires 6+ years of Workday experience, strong engineering discipline, and clear communication. You will work with cross-functional teams and stay current with Workday releases while supporting upgrades and enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of Workday technical experience.
• Deep expertise in Workday report writer including advanced and composite reports.
• Strong proficiency with calculated fields across HCM and Finance.
• Hands-on experience configuring business processes and condition rules.
• Strong understanding of Workday security framework.
• Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend.
• Familiarity with Workday tenant management and release process.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex calculated fields, custom reports, and advanced reports using the Workday report writer.
• Build composite reports, matrix reports, and dashboards supporting business decision-making.
• Configure and maintain business processes, condition rules, and approval routing across HCM and Finance.
• Develop Workday Extend applications and PRISM analytics where appropriate, packaging custom logic in supported platform extensions.
• Build report-as-a-service integrations and support data export needs for downstream systems.
• Configure security domains, role-based security, and segment-based security across complex tenants.
• Partner with HR, payroll, and finance stakeholders to translate requirements into Workday configurations.
• Develop and maintain documentation for business processes, calculated fields, and security models.
• Support Workday tenant refreshes, regression testing cycles, and platform release adoption.
• Troubleshoot configuration and report issues in production tenants; collaborate with teams to isolate root causes and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with integration developers on data flows and technical approaches.
• Provide guidance on Workday best practices and configuration design patterns.
• Participate in Workday community forums and release advisory discussions.
