Job summary

BOS Staffing is seeking a Payroll Manager to own the accurate, timely, and compliant payment of all employees across every pay cycle in a fast-paced environment. You will lead the payroll function end to end in Workday, manage the payroll team, and partner closely with HR, Finance, Benefits, and Accounting to keep pay, tax, and benefit deductions correct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Three+ years of progressive payroll experience with at least two years in a supervisory/management role.
• Hands‑on Workday Payroll experience including audit reports, off‑cycle processing, and tax/configuration.
• Experience with multi‑state payroll tax, wage and hour requirements, and payroll automation.
• Proficient in Excel and data reconciliation, with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the full payroll cycle in Workday, including time inputs, earnings, deductions, retro pay, off‑cycle runs, bonuses, commissions, and final pay.
• Maintain payroll configuration in Workday (pay groups, calendars, codes, tax setup, calculation rules) and support releases.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local payroll regulations and prepare quarterly/year-end filings and W‑2s.
• Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and provide payroll metrics to Finance and leadership.
• Lead and develop payroll staff, set priorities, and ensure timely pay processing and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Accounting, and external vendors to ensure accurate data flow and reporting.
