Job summary

Meridian Partners seeks a Workday Financials Lead to steer functional delivery for complex public sector implementations. You will own high-impact Financials workstreams, guiding discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support in collaboration with architects.

You will mentor consultants, lead client workshops, and help expand Meridian's Workday practice across state/local governments, higher ed, and K–12 sectors. Remote work from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday Financials implementation experience.
• Public sector implementation experience preferred (state/local government, higher ed, or K–12).
• Active Workday Implementer Certifications with a minimum of two certifications.
• Strong expertise in FDM, Financial Accounting, Procurement, Grants, Financial Reporting, Expenses, Banking & Settlements, or Asset Management.
• Experience facilitating client design workshops and managing deliverables.
• 3+ years leading functional workstreams through multiple Workday lifecycles.
• Ability to work standard East Coast hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more Workday Financials workstreams through full implementation lifecycle.
• Facilitate discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations.
• Drive workstream deliverables, timelines, risk management, and client communication.
• Configure Financials across FDM, Core Financials, Procurement, Grants, Expenses, Banking, or Reporting.
• Oversee client relationships and balance business needs with Workday best practices.
• Mentor consultants and contribute to practice growth.
