Job summary

Fortra is seeking an experienced Workday Architect to lead the design, governance, and optimization of our Workday ecosystem across HCM and Financials. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, Security, and Data Analytics to ensure a secure, scalable system of record and define guardrails, integration patterns, and data governance.

You will drive architecture roadmaps, oversee IAM integration, and mentor engineers and analysts while aligning with enterprise standards and business strategy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Workday experience with strong expertise in both HCM and Financials.
• Experience architecting Workday solutions in complex enterprise environments, including security, business processes, integrations, and reporting patterns.
• Deep understanding of Workday security model, business process framework, and integration technologies (e.g., EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, PECI).
• Experience with Workday release management, tenant strategy, and platform governance.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Workday architecture across HCM and Financials.
• Define patterns, standards, and roadmaps that scale and reduce tech debt.
• Govern Workday security including role frameworks and SoD controls.
• Oversee integrations and data flows between Workday and enterprise systems.
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and Security to align priorities and guide teams.
• Mentor engineers, administrators, and analysts; promote best practices.
