Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. is seeking a Workday Compensation Expert to join the IT Applications Development track in a remote, part-time role (20 hours per week).

You will analyze, integrate, and configure Workday for compensation processes, reporting and governance, reporting to the IT Manager HR IS/IT. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on Workday Advanced Compensation, Core Compensation and HCM experience, with strong analytical and documentation skills, and the ability to translate business

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on expertise with Workday Advanced Compensation
• Strong knowledge of Workday Core Compensation and HCM
• Proven experience advising on annual compensation cycles
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical Workday configurations
• Experience reviewing reports, calculated fields and business processes
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Exposure to Workday integrations in compensation contexts

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert for Workday HCM, Core/Advanced Compensation, and Recruiting
• Review and advise on annual compensation processes, configuration, execution and support
• Assess existing Workday configuration and identify gaps, risks and improvement opportunities
• Provide guidance on best-practice configuration for compensation plans, eligibility and processes
• Design solutions aligned with global compensation requirements and Workday roadmap
• Create and review Workday reports and calculated fields related to compensation
• Advise on and review Workday business processes, notifications, and controls
• Support root-cause analysis of compensation-related issues and corrective actions
• Partner with HRIT and Total Rewards to document requirements and validate solutions
• Support unit testing, integration testing, and UAT from advisory/QA perspective
• Collaborate with internal HRIT, Total Rewards and external partners
