Job summary

Tenna is seeking a Web Platform Engineer to own the technical health of our website. You will manage WordPress end‑to‑end: hosting, plugins, security, performance, and integrations with marketing tools, helping our Front‑End Designer & Developer stay focused on appearance and conversions.

This role emphasizes building standards, documentation, QA, and reliable deployments while ensuring privacy and accessibility compliance and strong analytics tracking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional back-end web development with WordPress
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS or related
• Experience with a B2B SaaS marketing site or demand gen teams a plus
• Strong PHP and MySQL with WordPress APIs; read/write/debug plugin code
• JS debugging for front-end/back-end interactions
• Version-controlled, staging-to-production workflow; rollback
• Elementor technical depth and performance
• GA4 and GTM experience; privacy requirements; WCAG familiarity
• API integrations including HubSpot or similar
• AI-assisted development tools with caution and review
• Clear written communication for cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong documentation habits and repeatable processes

Responsibilities

• Owns the WordPress back end, including custom post types, taxonomies, custom fields, and plugin/theme functionality
• Maintains a disciplined plugin strategy and upgrade cadence; manages Elementor platform level performance
• Maintains local, staging, and production environments with version control and documented deployments
• Owns site reliability, uptime monitoring, caching, CDN, and Core Web Vitals optimization
• Owns website security end-to-end: hardening, patching, MFA/SSO, incident runbooks
• Maintains GDPR/CCPA compliance and accessibility remediations per WCAG 2.2 AA audits
• Owns technical SEO: crawlability, sitemaps, schema, SEMrush monitoring, Google Console
• Owns tracking: GA4, GTM, HubSpot, and server-side tagging where appropriate
• Builds and maintains WordPress-HubSpot integrations via APIs and webhooks
• Documents architecture, credentials, processes, and runbooks; establishes QA standards
• Collaborates with Front-End Designer/Developer and marketing stakeholders on technical scope and risk
• Uses Tenna-approved AI tools for debugging, code review, logs, and documentation with secure review
