Position: (Remote) Wire Harness Design Engineer

Description: A remote Wire Harness Design Engineer job is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time, direct role with benefits. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of engineering experience or an equivalent degree and experience combination.

Wiring Design Engineer Job Duties:

• Develop and maintain electrical wire harness detail, assembly, and installation designs in an aerospace environment.
• Integrate system requirements into wire harness architecture, selecting appropriate materials and parts based on electrical and environmental properties.
• Follow and improve documented processes, specifications, and procedures to ensure safe and quality design and manufacture.
• Analyze functional and physical requirements to develop integrated system designs.
• Travel up to 25% or less.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Experience with electrical harness design using Siemens (Mentor Graphics) Capital Logic software.
• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and determine solutions.
• Effective communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and external customers.
• Efficient time management and accurate design production.
• Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and adapt to evolving priorities.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors preferred but not required.

Preferred Skills:

• Analysis skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• 3+ years of experience with wire design tools like Siemens Capital Logic, Zuken E3, CADAM.
• Familiarity with NX, aerospace wiring standards, GD&T, ASME Y14.100, SAE AS50881, and ITAR compliance.
