Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $55.00/hr

Type: Freelance, 25–40 hrs/week

Start: ASAP (Targeting early June)

Length: 6-month contract, with potential to extend

Compensation: $30–55/hr DOE (Mid to Sr ranges)

Our creative retail client is seeking a talented Designer/Engineer to lead the design and production of custom Point of Purchase (POP) displays — tailored for convenience, liquor, and grocery sectors. This is a hands-on, project-based freelance role with the potential to evolve into a long-term partnership.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Concept and sketch innovative POP and POS display ideas for the alc/bev space
• Engineer displays with full production-ready technical specs
• Create structural retail assets like floor displays, shelf units, countertop pieces
• Collaborate with internal strategists and designers to deliver creative solutions
• Apply strong mechanical design to support functional, cost-effective builds
• Optional: Develop 3D visualizations to bring concepts to life

Must-Haves (Don’t Apply Without These)

• Proven experience designing and engineering POP/POS retail displays
• Strong mechanical design background with production-ready execution
• Ability to sketch concepts and translate to full tech specs
• Familiarity with materials, manufacturing processes, and retail build-outs
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional creative teams
• Availability for multiple projects and ongoing freelance work
