The role focuses on upgrading Windows Server infrastructure from 2016 to 2022, planning migrations, and supporting enterprise server initiatives with minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and core Windows services, while performing patching, OS imaging, and automation tasks using PowerShell.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Windows System Administration.
- Experience upgrading Windows Server 2016 to 2022 and planning migrations.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Hands-on SCCM/Intune administration.
- OS imaging for laptops/VMs and patch management automation.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Experience with VMware/VDI environments.
- Willingness to mentor teammates.
Responsibilities
- Lead Windows Server upgrade projects from 2016 to 2022.
- Perform server migration, installation, configuration, and deployment.
- Conduct pre-upgrade assessments, compatibility checks, and risk analysis.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
- Coordinate with network, application, and infrastructure teams for migration.
- Patch, tune, and optimize systems; ensure data integrity and DR readiness.
- Troubleshoot server issues during and after migration.
- Document configurations, processes, and migration steps.
