Tech Holding is seeking a Senior Windows Engineer for a contract assignment to bolster a business-critical Windows environment across AD, DNS, authentication, automation, observability, security, and disaster recovery. Qualifications

• Expert-level experience with Active Directory and DNS resilience, including replication topology, health, FSMO roles, DFS-R, NTDS, AD-integrated DNS.
• Expert-level knowledge of Kerberos authentication, including SPNs, duplicate-SPN failure modes, constrained delegation, AES/RC4 encryption, and service accounts.
• Strong experience with identity integration across Windows and non-Windows environments (LDAP, SSO).
• Expert-level experience with golden image and patch pipelines, including image bake automation, CI-scheduled builds, and CVE-driven rebuilds.
• Strong Windows observability and PowerShell experience.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management including OpenTofu, Chef, Ansible, and Systems Manager.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, security, data-protection controls, and automation.
• Experience with PKI and certificate services.
• Experience with disaster recovery design and testing.
• Ability to operate as platform and automation engineer in a code-managed Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Improve AD and DNS resilience including replication topology, DFS-R, and domain controllers on cloud instances.
• Support NTLM to Kerberos migration ensuring outage-free operation during transition.
• Manage SPNs, constrained delegation, and reverse DNS; oversee identity integration across directory services.
• Develop PowerShell automation for Windows platform operations and resiliency.
• Support image and patch pipelines, including CI builds, promotion, and CVE-driven rebuilds.
• Improve Windows observability with agents, event-channel collection, and script-derived metrics.
• Support IaC and configuration management with OpenTofu, Chef, Ansible, and Systems Manager.
• Help strengthen security and data-protection controls and PKI/certificate services.
• Assist disaster recovery design including RTO/RPO, failover testing, and cloud account governance.
• Contribute to multi-account rebuilds and guardrail policy implementation.
