Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a forward-thinking renewable energy company to hire a Junior Wind Turbine Technician for a remote-first operations team. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and exposure to wind turbine systems while you work from home base.

You will assist with inspections, diagnostics, and routine maintenance, document activities, and maintain strong safety practices as you develop technical expertise in a growing sector.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or N6 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Technology.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical systems.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in wind energy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally for training or on-site support.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines.
• Perform diagnostic checks and troubleshoot turbine components.
• Document maintenance activities and parts used in the asset management system.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in remote training sessions to develop skills.
• Communicate turbine status to the remote operations center.
