Job summary

Dover Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer (Remote, US-based) to lead welding/fabrication process optimization, equipment selection, and production transfer. You will design processes, validate equipment, and partner with OpsCo’s to improve productivity and asset utilization.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years in welding/fabrication, extensive CAD (SolidWorks), metrology skills, and 75% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering with Welding/Fabrication.
• Experience setting up and operating state-of-the-art Welding/Fabrication equipment.
• Travel up to 75% from a major US-based airport.
• Strong CAD (SolidWorks) and metrology skills (CMM, 3D imaging).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design manufacturing processes for Welding/Fabrication parts.
• Improve OEE via SMED and TPM with new and existing equipment.
• Lead capex justification, sourcing, and transfer to mass production.
• Develop and implement Welding/Fabrication playbooks for OpCos.
• Deploy new welding technologies to boost productivity.
• Perform root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Travel 75% to manufacturing sites.
