Job summary

Jobgether, listing on behalf of a partner company, seeks a WebOps WordPress Developer in the United States for a fully remote role. You will maintain a large WordPress portfolio, troubleshoot hosting, plugins, and performance, and implement improvements across DNS, CDN, caching, and security.

You’ll work hands-on on custom PHP/ACF templates, Gutenberg themes, and page builders, document root causes, and collaborate with teams to ensure reliability, security, and fast load times.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years hands-on WordPress development in an agency or multi-site environment.
• Strong debugging across PHP, JS, HTML/CSS and WordPress plugins.
• Experience with hosting platforms (WP Engine) and hosting tech (DNS, SSL, CDN, caching).
• Familiar with ACF-based themes, Gutenberg, Gravity Forms.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve WordPress issues including outages, slow load times, timeouts, server errors, plugin conflicts, PHP errors, broken forms, email delivery failures, and performance problems.
• Investigate root causes across hosting environments, DNS, domains, SSL, CDN, caching layers, and security configurations.
• Review system and application logs to identify problems and determine solutions.
• Perform routine WordPress maintenance, updates, testing, and QA while minimizing risk.
• Proactively identify risks related to updates, security and performance.
• Make feature updates within custom PHP/ACF templates, Gutenberg themes, and page-builder environments.
• Take ownership from identification to resolution, documenting root causes and preventative actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and escalate to deeper engineering when needed.
