Job summary

ElevenLabs is seeking a Research Engineer to join our research team, focusing on large-scale web crawling for our frontier AI models. You will own crawling systems that source world-class data from the open web and build pipelines to turn it into ready-to-use datasets.

You will design and operate distributed crawlers, tackle content extraction from messy HTML, deduplication at web scale, and ensure data quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and scaling web crawlers or scraping systems for ML data.
• Strong engineering skills in distributed systems at scale (Kubernetes, queues, or custom pipelines).
• Ability to evaluate crawled data quality, coverage, and compliance, and build tooling to measure it.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate large-scale crawlers that fetch and extract data across billions of pages.
• Develop targeted crawling pipelines for audio, video, multilingual content.
• Create tooling to monitor, request, and explore newly crawled data.
