Job summary

World Resources Institute seeks a Utah Watershed Resilience Manager to lead portfolio growth and implement watershed restoration projects across Utah, intersecting forest restoration and water security with innovative financing.

You will work with WRI’s U.S. Forests and Water team to expand partnerships, secure funding, and scale the Utah Resilience Fund as a model for watershed resilience nationwide.

Qualifications

  • A master's degree or equivalent experience in natural resources or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder partnerships with utilities, agencies, or NGOs.
  • Experience securing grants or fundraising initiatives.
  • Understanding of watershed restoration and water resource planning.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical info.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of watershed resilience strategy for Great Salt Lake Basin and scale lessons in Utah/western states.
  • Coordinate Utah partners and manage engagement with utilities, agencies, Tribes, NGOs and local governments.
  • Develop budgets, work plans, and monitoring/reporting frameworks for projects.
  • Draft grant proposals and cultivate relationships with donors.
