Job summary

WithersRavenel is hiring a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in the Water/Wastewater Utilities practice. The role blends hydraulic modeling, project leadership, and client coordination across hybrid/remote work with regular NC office visits.

You will develop, calibrate, and analyze models for water and wastewater systems, drive project success, and mentor teams while expanding client relationships and business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer certification required or in process.
• 7+ years of engineering/industry experience with team management for PM level.
• 10+ years for Senior Project Manager level with leadership experience.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to lead multiple projects.
• Knowledge of contracts, budgeting, and forecasting essential.
• Proficient in hydraulic modeling software and GIS/CAD tools.
• Experience maintaining client relationships and pursuing opportunities.
• Experience with Python or R preferred but not required.
• BioWin experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and calibrate hydraulic models for water and wastewater systems.
• Lead project components and coordinate with internal teams and clients.
• Analyze model results and propose improvements for performance and reliability.
• Support master plans, asset inventories, and capital programs.
• Prepare reports and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies.
• Assist with proposals, scoping, budgeting, and client coordination.
• Manage multiple projects’ schedules and deliverables, ensuring quality.
• Senior level: oversee large projects, mentor staff, and lead pursuits.
