Job summary
WithersRavenel in Cary, North Carolina is seeking Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to develop, calibrate, and analyze hydraulic models for water distribution and wastewater systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve system performance and resilience for communities across North Carolina.
Project Engineer level focuses on technical modeling, analysis, and project support, while Senior Project Engineer level leads modeling tasks, mentors staff, and supports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical engineering or related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain license within 12 months of hiring).
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software including WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, SewerGEMS, SewerCAD, PCSWMM.
Responsibilities
- Develop, calibrate, and maintain hydraulic models for water distribution and wastewater systems.
- Analyze model results and provide data-driven recommendations for planning and design.
- Support project teams with system assessments, master planning, and infrastructure design solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, memorandums, and presentations for clients and teams.
- Senior level: lead modeling tasks and mentor junior engineers; support project management and client coordination.
