Job summary

Placements24’s client is a consulting firm specializing in environmental and resource management, seeking a Project Manager to lead water resource management initiatives. The role emphasizes remote work, planning, coordination, and execution of projects in water conservation, infrastructure development, and policy implementation across the Free State region.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in environmental science, engineering, or related fields, with at least five years of project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or related field.
Master's degree is a plus for consideration.

Responsibilities

Manage the full lifecycle of water resource management projects from initiation to closure.
Develop detailed project plans including scope, stakeholders, resources, and risk management.
Coordinate with government agencies, community stakeholders, and engineering teams to meet objectives.
Oversee water conservation initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and sustainability programs.
Monitor progress, budget adherence, and resource utilization with regular reporting to client and management.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and water management policies in the Free State.
Facilitate project meetings and workshops to maintain alignment among parties.
Contribute to project proposals and business development in the water sector.
