Job summary

Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) seeks an Agency Instructor I for the Water Program to deliver online and in-person training, develop curriculum as needed, and support field-based skills instruction. The role emphasizes adult learning principles and maintaining technical competence, reporting to the Training Manager.

Two full-time telecommuter positions in Bryan, Texas, offering competitive benefits and opportunities to contribute to TEEX’s water utility training excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of experience in operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
• One year of experience in training adults.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Texas Class “B” Water license.
• Texas Class “B” Wastewater license, or Wastewater Collection II or III.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training various specialty skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within a specified program.
• Utilize adult learning theories and learning styles to maximize learner success.
• Perform online and/or classroom instruction and field-based skills training.
• May provide technical assistance and help update curriculum content as needed.
• Maintain technical competence and skills; report to Training Manager.
