Job summary

Vikco Insurance Services, LLC, a subsidiary of K2 Insurance Services, LLC, seeks a VP/Senior Commercial Property Underwriter (E&S) for remote work. You will independently evaluate, price, and structure high-hazard commercial property risks, using delegated underwriting authority to manage a profitable book and mentor junior staff.

Ideal candidates have layered/shared programs expertise, non-cat and cat-exposed properties, and prior MGU or surplus lines carrier pricing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, finance, risk management, or insurance.
• Minimum five years in Excess & Surplus lines underwriting or related operations.
• Experience pricing, issuing, and servicing complex property risks.

Responsibilities

• Review submissions for completeness and risk exposure, summarize data in files.
• Analyze exposure, financial data, and loss history to support pricing decisions.
• Conduct public-record research to identify risk factors impacting acceptability.
• Calculate rating bases and enter data into the rating system with accuracy.
• Rate complex accounts using approved methodologies and guidelines.
• Prepare binders, issue policies, and ensure documents reflect terms.
• Maintain current files and support remote team workflows and trainings.
• Collaborate with producers, underwriters, and internal partners throughout underwriting.
• Support special projects with timely delivery and clear communication.
