Job summary

Vikco Insurance Services, LLC, a subsidiary of K2 Insurance Services, is seeking a full-time remote VP/Senior Commercial Property Underwriter (E&S). The role emphasizes independent evaluation, pricing, and structuring of complex commercial property risks within the Excess & Surplus market.

The candidate will manage a profitable book, service wholesale brokers, and mentor junior staff, with compensation including a bonus plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business/finance/risk management/insurance.
• Prefer 5 years of relevant E&S underwriting experience, pricing, or policy issuance.

Responsibilities

• Review submissions for completeness, summarize exposure and risk information.
• Analyze underwriting data to support risk selection and pricing decisions.
• Conduct internet/public-record research to identify risk characteristics affecting acceptability.
• Calculate rating bases from verified data and apply approved methodologies.
• Enter data into rating system and ensure accuracy of premiums.
