Job summary

Aldevron, part of Danaher, seeks a VP for the mRNA CDMO portfolio to lead strategy, growth, and governance. This executive role focuses on portfolio direction, pricing, lifecycle planning, and collaboration across Commercial, R&D, Operations, Finance, and Quality.

You will build and coach a high-performing team, influence senior stakeholders, and drive execution across a matrixed environment, with remote work flexibility from Fargo, ND.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 13+ years of experience in product management, strategic marketing, commercial leadership, business strategy, or general management within life sciences or related markets.
• Demonstrated experience leading managers and senior professionals in a complex, matrixed business environment.
• Proven ability to develop and execute portfolio strategy, product lifecycle management, market-back planning, and cross-functional governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic direction for the mRNA portfolio.
• Establish portfolio priorities, investment decisions, pricing strategies, and lifecycle plans.
• Translate customer insights, competitive intelligence, emerging technologies, and industry trends into differentiated value propositions and future portfolio roadmaps.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing product management team through managers and senior leaders.
• Establish governance processes that connect product strategy to operating plans, revenue growth, margin improvement, innovation priorities, and operational readiness.
• Partner with Commercial, R&D, Operations, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and Strategy leaders to align resources, investments, capacity plans, and execution priorities.
• Serve as the executive spokesperson for the mRNA portfolio, influencing senior stakeholders, leading strategic decision making, and engaging key customers and industry partners.
