Job summary

Ladders is seeking a VP, Data Strategy & Governance to shape enterprise data strategy across a large healthcare organization, ensuring data assets are governed, trusted, and positioned to support business priorities. This leader will partner with executive stakeholders to align data programs with financial objectives and enterprise goals, while strengthening the foundation for data science and AI through improved data quality and governance maturity.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in data governance or strategy roles within large organizations.
• Hands-on experience with data governance in both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven track record of building and scaling data governance programs with measurable improvements.
• Experience managing large, multi-workstream programs on time and within budget.
• Deep expertise in data architecture, data quality processes, and enterprise data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own the enterprise data strategy, aligning it with organizational goals.
• Lead portfolio governance of data programs to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
• Partner with executives to articulate the value of data assets and influence investment decisions.
• Drive readiness for enterprise-scale data science and AI by ensuring foundational data quality and accessibility.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of data governance experts.
