BairesDev is hiring a Voice Engineer to build voice-first experiences across Alexa and Google Assistant. You will translate user intents into natural conversational flows, implementing speech-to-text and text-to-speech components for high-quality interactions.

We seek 4+ years in software or voice tech, with strong English, and a track record of delivering voice interfaces. This is a 100% remote role offering competitive USD compensation and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Voice Technology.
• Proven expertise in developing voice-first experiences and custom voice interfaces.
• Proficiency with voice platforms such as Alexa Skills or Google Actions.
• Strong understanding of speech recognition, synthesis, and voice UX design.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom voice interfaces and applications for platforms like Alexa and Google Assistant.
• Map user goals to conversational flows, managing utterances and intents to ensure a frictionless experience.
• Implement speech-to-text and text-to-speech components to facilitate natural dialogue.
• Design for various scenarios by creating happy paths, handling ambiguity, and implementing graceful error recovery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate voice capabilities with backend systems and APIs.
• Optimize voice interactions for performance, latency, and accessibility across devices and environments.
