Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Presales Solutions Engineer – VMware to deliver technical expertise across VMware products and related technologies. This role focuses on consultative engagements, qualifying opportunities, and communicating value to customers.

The ideal candidate will lead presales activities, design VMware Cloud Foundation solutions, and collaborate with client teams to drive successful outcomes. Remote-friendly with Austin reporting as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
5+ years in a technical role; 3+ years in presales.
5+ years of VMware Vsphere experience; VCF knowledge preferred.
Travel up to 20% for client meetings and events.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical presales engagement and own strategy through the sales cycle.
Design VMware Cloud Foundation private cloud solutions for clients.
Collaborate with client teams to identify VCF opportunities and requirements.
Assess IT environments and provide comprehensive analysis and recommendations.
Create/present presentations and proposals aligned to sales processes.
Stay current on VMware products, trends, and industry landscape.
Develop collateral to aid sales engagements and educate teams.
