Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced remote Visual Designer to evaluate frontier AI tools against professional design standards. You will craft briefs from your own practice—landing pages, decks, data visuals—and run them through AI design systems, judging quality, alignment, typography and visual hierarchy.

The role spans UI/UX critique, product visuals and new media; you will articulate why designs fail and contribute across software, presentation design and visual storytelling.

Qualifications

• Background in UI/UX, web, product, or graphic design.
• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy and typography.
• Ability to articulate why a design fails clearly.
• Experience with AI design tools or quick to pick them up.
• US citizenship and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging briefs drawn from your own expertise.
• Run briefs through frontier AI tools and evaluate outputs against professional standards.
• Critique model-generated interfaces, layouts, and visuals.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence on spacing, typography, and content.
• Contribute across software, office and presentation design, and new media.
