Job summary

Designer Jobs is seeking a contract UI/UX designer to evaluate and critique AI-generated designs across interfaces, layouts, and motion. You will create realistic design briefs, use frontier AI design tools, and compare model versions to determine which performs better and where they fall short.

You will document concrete design failures with evidence, covering typography, visual hierarchy, spacing, and off-brief interpretations, while contributing to multiple design disciplines on a flexible,

Qualifications

Fluency in English (native or bilingual) is required.
Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design.
Strong command of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, interaction design, and user flow.
Ability to explain why a design fails, not just that it fails.
Comfort working with AI design tools or ability to pick them up quickly.
Bachelor’s degree (in-progress or completed) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Create challenging, realistic design briefs using your professional expertise.
Run briefs through frontier AI design tools and assess output against professional standards.
Compare two model versions using identical prompts and assets; determine which performed better and where they fell short.
Critique AI-generated interfaces, mockups, layouts, slides, infographics, illustrations, and motion.
Document concrete failures with evidence: alignment and spacing, content overflow and cutoff, typography, visual hierarchy, SVG/illustration quality, ignored assets, and off-brief interpretation.
Contribute across design disciplines including software, office/presentation design, technical illustration, graphic design, and new media.
