Job summary

MissionHires is seeking independent contractors skilled in UI/UX, web, graphic, and product design to train and critique AI design outputs. You will develop challenging briefs, evaluate AI tools, and compare model versions, reporting design flaws with clear reasoning.

Ideal candidates have strong visual sense, can explain design failures, and are comfortable using AI design tools. Remote work with flexible hours is offered, paid hourly in USD.

Qualifications

• Native or bilingual-level fluency in English.
• Professional background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design.
• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, interaction design, and user flows.
• Ability to clearly explain why a design does not meet professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Create challenging, realistic visual design briefs based on professional design experience.
• Run design briefs through frontier AI design tools and evaluate outputs against standards.
• Compare outputs from two AI model versions using identical prompts and assets.
• Critique AI-generated interfaces, mockups, layouts, slides, infographics, illustrations, and motion work.
• Identify and document design failures including alignment, spacing, overflow, typography, and visual hierarchy.
• Contribute expertise across software and interactive design, office and presentation design, technical illustration and new media.
