Job summary

FIRST STOP HEALTH LLC is seeking a Virtual Primary Care Medical Assistant to support remote clinical operations. You will liaise with providers, assist with patient intake and care coordination, and help optimize workflows for virtual care delivery.

The role requires CMA certification and at least 2 years in ambulatory or primary care, with telehealth experience preferred. Remote-friendly schedule with standard business hours and potential after-hours coverage.

Qualifications

• CMA certification required and current licensure.
• Minimum 2+ years in ambulatory or primary care.
• Experience supporting telehealth or virtual care preferred.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work remote.
• Proficient with EHR systems (Athena, Epic, eClinicalWorks, Elation).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical leadership to improve the Virtual Primary Care experience.
• Support patients with compassionate care coordination and admin tasks.
• Follow clinical protocols while assisting providers with evidence-based care.
• Manage patient intake, documentation, care coordination, and follow-up.
• Coordinate referrals and schedule follow-ups under provider direction.
• Identify clinical concerns and escalate urgent issues promptly.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance workflows.
