Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Virtual Infrastructure Engineer III to research, develop, test, and document virtual desktop infrastructure software. The role includes mentoring junior engineers and participating in on-call rotations to support incidents, upgrades, patches, and project tasks.

The position requires strong Cisco UCS and VMware experience, with duties spanning design, implementation, and knowledge management within IT Systems Engineering and Architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is required.
• 6+ years of Cisco UCS Infrastructure and VMware experience preferred.
• Experience with on-call rotation and incident response is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Researches, develops, tests, analyzes and documents Cisco UCS Infrastructure technologies and VMware environments.
• Coaches and trains junior engineers, identifies coaching opportunities and oversees work.
• Creates and manages projects, allocates resources and coordinates major incidents response.
• Maintains budget, staff development plans and project milestones with minimal supervision.
• Documents knowledgebase content, maintains team website and develops training materials.
