Job summary

MADD is seeking a Victim Services Advocate to manage a caseload of alcohol- and drugged-driving victims, delivering crisis and grief support, and guiding referrals for long-term needs. The role includes court accompaniment and collaboration with Victim Services staff to assist victims.

This remote position requires residing in Jackson, MS area; salary is $50,000. Bachelor's in a human services field and 1+ year of advocacy or grief support experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with at least one year of victim advocacy or grief support experience.
• Equivalent experience that includes victim advocacy and/or grief support work.
• Reliable transportation to court attendance with a flexible schedule.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments and create tailored case management plans for victims/survivors.
• Provide court accompaniment and advocacy while educating on justice systems.
• Coordinate referrals for long-term counseling and basic needs; facilitate support groups.
• Recruit, train, deploy, and recognize volunteers; support fundraising goals.
