Job summary

CFS seeks a Vice President, Tax to lead the tax function with direct access to the CFO, executive leadership, Audit Committee, and Board of Directors. The role covers tax strategy, compliance, planning, reporting, and audit defense across a complex multi-entity environment.

The position offers significant involvement in acquisitions, transaction structuring, and tax due diligence, with a focus on building a scalable tax organization and robust controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation; MST/JD/LLM preferred.
• CPA preferred with deep expertise in corporate taxation, tax planning, and tax reporting.
• 10+ years of progressive tax leadership experience, including management of a corporate tax function.
• Experience with ASC 740, multi-entity structures, M&A tax matters, and tax-exempt organizations required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's overall tax strategy, planning initiatives, and compliance framework.
• Lead ASC 740 tax provision activities, income tax reporting, and financial statement disclosures.
• Oversee tax aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and entity optimization initiatives.
• Serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors during audits and controversy matters.
• Build, mentor, and develop the tax team while enhancing systems, controls, and operational efficiencies.
