Job summary
Antech, driven by a commitment to veterinary diagnostics and part of MarsScience & Diagnostics, is seeking a Clinical Pathologist to diagnose disease and cause of death in companion and laboratory animals by examining body tissues, fluids, and hematologic specimens.
The role involves describing and interpreting cytologic preparations, preparing pathology reports, dictating evaluations with Dragon software, consulting with veterinarians via Skype, phone and email, participating in pathology
Qualifications
- DVM/VMD required; board-certified diplomate.
- Licensed to practice in the relevant state.
- Experience in clinical pathology preferred.
Responsibilities
- Describe and interpret cytologic and hematologic specimens to diagnose disease.
- Prepare pathology narrative reports.
- Dictate medical evaluations using Dragon and other software.
- Consult with veterinarians via Skype, phone and email.
- Participate in pathology rounds bi-weekly.
- Provide second opinions as requested.
- Stay current on veterinary literature and participate in QC programs.
- Assist in other clinical pathology duties.
