Job summary

First Children\'s Finance seeks a Vermont Grants Specialist to administer state, federal and philanthropic grants with emphasis on compliance and program reporting. You will work with the Vermont operations team to support grantees and track grant activities across the state.

You will analyze data, prepare reports, ensure compliance, and coordinate grant communications. Candidates should have nonprofit experience and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a foundation, nonprofit, social service or small business setting.
• Experience with grantmaking, program administration and/or data analysis, data management and reporting preferred.
• Experience working with communities of color and low-resourced communities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time and task management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct grantmaking activities for child care grant programs with Vermont team.
• Provide guidance and technical assistance to applicants and grantees.
• Process pass-through grants applications, due diligence, and scoring of applications.
• Learn and conduct regulatory compliance checks.
• Ensure timely grant notification letters, distributions and grant agreements.
