Job summary

State of Vermont's Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation is hiring a Grants Administrator - Limited Service to manage all outgoing grants. 3 days/week in Montpelier with up to 2 remote days, join a small Grants Team focused on compliance and reporting.

The ideal candidate has grant management experience, strong MS Office skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach to support the department's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in grant development, evaluation, administration, or fiscal monitoring.
• Master's degree option: public administration or accounting with grant experience.
• Associate degree plus five years in grants work; or high school plus seven years in grants work.
• Demonstrated ability to administer grants and monitor funding compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administer all outgoing grant awards and amendments in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure grant compliance with internal, state-wide and federal policies.
• Approve and process subrecipient invoices.
• Manage grant data in software including VISION and Microsoft Office.
• Prepare grant financial reports from large data sets.
• Develop expertise on grant policies such as Bulletin 5.
• Collaborate with the Finance Manager and maintain organized files.
• Support process improvements within Grant and Business Office teams.
