Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking an attorney to join its corporate group through the Professional Track Attorney program. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience supporting venture capital financings, M&A, and corporate governance matters. This role is fully remote and open to all U.S.

office locations. Minimum education is a JD. Candidates should have AmLaw 100 experience and familiarity with NVCA models, series_seed approaches, and SAFE financings.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 5–8 years of Emerging Growth/Venture Capital experience.
• Familiarity with NVCA, SeriesSeed, Y Combinator.
• Experience negotiating and managing preferred stock financings, bridge financings, and SAFE financings.
• Ability to manage due diligence on M&A transactions and venture financings.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with partners, lawyers, clients, staff, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer calls, and reply to correspondence on deadlines.
• Analyze complex legal issues and apply research to facts.
• Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality work product.
• Engage in travel for client meetings, tribunals, or business development.
