Job summary

General Motors Ventures is seeking a software engineer to design and develop WiFi software in our Linux-based networking system for automotive connectivity. You will join a team dedicated to delivering a reliable, high-performance wireless experience in GM vehicles.

You will collaborate with hardware, application and cloud teams to meet power, reliability and performance requirements, and you’ll triage end-to-end issues, capture packets, and help configure and manage the WiFi stack.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS or EE (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Deep drive to make WiFi work reliably for customers.
• Able to triage end-to-end issues and perform packet capture and latency analysis.
• Experience at the junction of WiFi stack and OS features.
